The first time the championships had been held outside of a capital city, competitor Sarah Fitzgerald-Holmes said the major coup was a tremendous success.
"It was excellent, it was a really good day," she said.
"Everyone did well."
Sparking interest all over the city, spectators young and old gathered to get a first-hand glimpse at the marvels of taekwondo.
Showcasing the best athletes from across Australia, the championships were a chance todemonstrate the versatility of the art to curious and interested enthusiasts.
Wagga competitors sized up well against their interstate counterparts, claiming overall club champion for their efforts.
The biggest NSW championship event for several years, respected international specialists were also in attendance.
Turning out to lend a supporting hand was president of the Australian InternationalTaekwondo Federation, Senior Master Robert Lai, and the highest-ranked female in the world, Senior Master Linda Low, among others.
